What is the ruling on accepting money offered by someone who accidentally caused an injury, to cover the treatment expenses for that injury which I sustained?

Some scholars have held that the perpetrator is obligated to bear the expenses of treating the victim, based on the principle: "Harm must be removed." This is because the perpetrator inflicted harm upon the victim, and is therefore obligated to remove it through treatment. Some contemporary scholars are of the view that the necessary expenses to achieve a state of recovery can be wholly or partially borne by the perpetrator. It is preferable to leave this to the discretion of the court. In the absence of dispute, and if the perpetrator offers to pay for the treatment expenses, there is no harm in accepting that.
