What is the grade of the Hadith: "As you are, so will your leaders be appointed over you"?

The hadith "As you are, so will your leaders be appointed over you" was narrated by Al-Daylami from Abu Bakra and by Al-Bayhaqi as mursal from Abu Ishaq Al-Sabee'i. It was deemed weak by Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar and Al-Albani. Al-Albani compiled its various chains of narration in "Silsilat Al-Ahadith Al-Dha'ifa" (Series of Weak Hadiths) and ruled it to be weak, explaining that reality and history contradict it, as good rulers have been appointed after wicked ones without the people having changed.
