What is the ruling on marrying more than one wife in a single day?

A Muslim man is permitted to marry two women on the same day, based on the general meaning of the Almighty’s saying: "then marry those that please you of [other] women, two or three or four." However, it is disliked by scholars for the wedding night of both women to be on the same night, because it is not possible to give both wives their full right to intimacy on the wedding night. If the two women are wed at the same time, the one who was earlier is given her right first. If they are at the very same time, then a lottery is used to decide between them.
