The Sahih li-dhatihi (inherently authentic) is the hadith whose chain of narration is continuous, transmitted by a just narrator of perfect precision from one like him, without illah (defect) or shudhudh (oddness). Most of hadith in the Two Sahihs, such as the hadith "Beware of suspicion" and the hadith "He (the Prophet) forbade muzabanah (a type of transaction)," are considered Sahih li-dhatihi, as the narrators in their chains are just and of perfect precision, and there is no oddness or defect in them. Among the books that focused on the Sahih are: Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim, the Sunan books, and Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah and Ibn Hibban.
