Is it permissible for a niqabi woman to remove her niqab in front of her husband’s family and mix with non-mahram men in the same room if her husband gives her the choice between that and separation, especially since she is aware of the difficult circumstances for niqabi women in her country and her husband insists on this mixing?

If the husband calls for the removal of the niqab (uncovering the face) in imitation of those who deem it permissible, and not out of disdain for the Sharia, then its removal can be agreed upon.

As for mixing with men in one room, it is permissible under certain conditions: ensuring no fitna (temptation), maintaining modesty and proper covering, and avoiding adornments and provocative scents. If these controls are not met, then mixing is forbidden, and the wife is not allowed to agree to it, even if it leads to divorce.

As for forbidden mixing that leads to khalwa (private seclusion with a non-mahram) or physical contact or uncovering what is impermissible, it is absolutely forbidden.
