Is what the teacher said—that Allah has two hands, and both are right hands—correct, and how can this be reconciled with the hadith that mentions Allah folding the earths with His left hand?

Scholars differed concerning the description of Allah’s other hand as “left” (shamāl), based on their differing views regarding the authenticity of the hadiths in which the left hand is mentioned, and whether attributing a left hand to Allah implies a deficiency. Those who affirmed the left hand said that Allah has two hands, a right (yamīn) and a left (shamāl), citing as evidence the hadith: “Allah will fold the heavens with His Right Hand, and the earths with His Left Hand.” They argued that describing one of the hands as “right” necessitates that the other is not right. Those who denied the left hand said that both of Allah’s hands are right, citing as evidence the hadith: “And both of His hands are right.” The preponderant view is that there is no contradiction between the hadiths; for both of His hands, Glorified be He, are blessed right hands in terms of honor and virtue. They are described as right and left in terms of nomenclature, and it is not meant that the other hand is less powerful than the right hand.
