Deliberately engaging in sexual intercourse during the daytime in is a grave sin that necessitates the major expiation ( Kubra) for each day intercourse occurred, due to the violation of the sanctity of the month and disobedience to Allah’s command. Sadness and depression are not considered a legitimate excuse as long as one is of sound mind. It is obligatory to obey Allah, remember Him, and thank Him. Disobedience is a cause of calamities, and one must increase in seeking forgiveness and sincere repentance.
