Is there a consensus that the deeds of a martyr are not cut off? And why do not all martyrs reach the level of Firdaus if their deeds are not cut off? And is the reward of the deeds not being cut off exclusive to the martyr of the battlefield, and does one who sincerely wished for martyrdom but died without entering battle attain this reward?

Martyrs, even if they are killed in the way of Allah, differ in rank and are not all on the same level of virtue. Whoever sincerely seeks martyrdom, Allah will grant him the stations of the martyrs, even if he dies in his bed. However, he attains the basic reward of a martyr, while the complete reward is for the martyr of the battlefield. Thus, the martyr with the greatest reward is the martyr of the battlefield. Others who are considered martyrs in the hereafter, even if they share the name and the basic reward, are not equal in every respect.
