Does ill-manneredness invalidate or diminish faith, or is it considered a defect in it? Does it nullify good deeds? And what if the "committed" person insists on ill-manneredness after advice and warning, is that considered persistence in sin? And what is the harm of ill-manneredness to the call to Allah? And what is to be said to those committed individuals who persist in flagrant ill-manneredness and bad conduct with Muslims and non-Muslims?

Good character will be the heaviest thing placed on the believer's scale on the Day of Judgment, and bad character is a deficiency in faith. Allah may despise the obscene and the foul-mouthed. Sins may increase the deficiency in faith, but they do not invalidate good deeds, except for associating partners with Allah (shirk). Bad character harms the call to Allah (da'wah) and alienates people from the religion and its adherents, while good character attracts them. A Muslim should treat people the way he loves to be treated.
