Books dedicated to libraries may not be taken except with the librarian's permission, on loan, and must be returned at the end of the loan period. Neglecting and damaging books necessitates cooperation in repairing and preserving them, and owning them is not permissible except as a loan. If the library is neglected, the books must be moved to another place to preserve them and ensure their continued benefit. If that is not possible, it is permissible to move the books home to benefit from them and preserve them, without withholding them from anyone.
