What are the rulings mentioned in the first 20 verses of Surat Al-Baqarah?

The first four verses of Surat Al-Baqarah describe sincere believers and guide them, while the following two verses describe sincere disbelievers and the torment prepared for them. As for the remaining thirteen verses, they describe the hypocrites, and present two parables for them: a fiery one representing their outward faith and inward hypocrisy, and a watery one representing their plugging their ears to the Qur'an and its warnings and arguments. The Qur'anic focus on hypocrites indicates their danger and their enmity towards Allah the Almighty and His prophets.
