What are the conditions for the inviolability of a Muslim's blood?

The sanctity of a Muslim's blood, property, and honor is established by divine revelation. Its conditions include belief in Allah, disbelief in all else worshipped besides Him, performing prayer, and avoiding actions that necessitate the death penalty, such as murder, adultery after marriage, and apostasy.

This is supported by prophetic traditions, including: "Whoever says: 'There is no god but Allah' and disbelieves in what is worshipped besides Allah, his property and blood are inviolable, and his reckoning is with Allah," and "Whoever prays our prayer, faces our Qiblah, and eats our slaughtered meat, that is the Muslim for whom Allah and His Messenger have made a covenant, so do not violate Allah’s covenant," and "Every Muslim’s blood, property, and honor are sacred to another Muslim," and "I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish prayer, and pay zakat. If they do that, their blood and property will be protected from me, except by the right of Islam, and their reckoning is with Allah."
