Is a yellow or white spot from pus najis, whether solid or liquid?

Pus is the yellow, viscous liquid that emerges from a wound, while serous fluid (suppuration) is the thin wound fluid mixed with blood. The majority of jurists consider pus and serous fluid to be impure (najis), but they pardon a small amount of them, because they are generated from impure blood. Ibn Taymiyyah holds the view that they are pure. It is more prudent to adopt the opinion of the majority, which is that they are impure, and a small amount of them is pardoned, especially given the difficulty of guarding against them.
