Is there a specific legal posture for urinating or defecating, and are there any religious matters that must be observed when undressing and bathing in the bathroom?

Many jurists have recommended relying on the left foot and raising the right foot when relieving oneself, citing a weak hadith narrated by Al-Bayhaqi.

Others, such as Ibn Uthaymeen, held that the matter is broad, that the hadith is weak, that this posture might be difficult, and that remaining in one's natural sitting posture is easier and more appropriate since no sunnah has been established for it.

As for removing clothes, it is recommended to mention the name of Allah the Almighty, based on the hadith narrated by Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "The covering between the eyes of the jinn and the nakedness of the children of Adam, when one of them removes his garment, is to say: 'Bismillah (In the name of Allah).'"
