What is the ruling on performing ablution (wudu), drinking, and urinating while standing?

A Muslim performs ablution (wudu') as it is easy for him, whether sitting or standing. It is permissible for him to drink standing or sitting, though it is better to drink while sitting. It is permissible for him to urinate standing if there is a need, provided his 'awrah (private parts) are not exposed and he does not fear urine splashing back on him; however, urinating while sitting is better.
