Are the Bedouins who exhibited impudence and insolence towards the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, considered among the noble Companions, and is it impermissible to disparage them despite their mistakes?

A Companion (Sahabi) is one who saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, believed in him, and died upon that belief. It is not permissible to disparage or belittle them, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade reviling his Companions. The Companions vary in merit and status; among them are the foremost pioneers from the Muhajirun and Ansar, and among them are those whose conversion to Islam was later. Actions that were not befitting the stature of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, emanated from some new converts to Islam, or from hypocrites whose hearts had not been firmly imbued with faith, or from the crudeness of the desert dwellers. However, their Islam subsequently improved, and they accompanied the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the best possible companionship. Hating or reviling the Bedouins is a mistake, for some of them are believers in Allah and His Messenger, and there is no need for such an action.
