Is it permissible to marry a woman who is pregnant due to fornication with her, in order to protect her reputation and one's own, while concealing this matter from elderly parents? And does sin accrue to the parent(s) if he marries her without their knowledge? And are parents held accountable for the sins of their children?

We ask God to love you as you have loved us for His sake, and to accept your repentance and forgive your sin. We advise you to be careful not to be lenient with women. The marriage of an adulterer to the woman with whom he committed adultery, while she is pregnant from him, is not permissible according to the Maliki and Hanbali schools, while it is permissible according to the Hanafi and Shafi'i schools. Avoiding marriage to her while she is pregnant is more cautious, especially if your father does not approve of it, and you can marry someone else. If you wish to marry her after she gives birth, that is permissible. The marriage must be with the permission of her Muslim guardian (wali) or through Islamic centers. The adulterer and the repentant woman are not to be blamed after repentance.
