There is no that specifies the duration of punishment in Hell for someone who abandons prayer, but it is agreed upon that they will be subjected to severe torment. No specific person is condemned to Hell for abandoning prayer, because they might repent. As for obligatory prayers, they are superior and more incumbent than supererogatory () prayers, and supererogatory prayers compensate for any deficiencies that may occur in the obligatory ones.
