Are there any Hadith stating that one who abandons prayer will be punished in Hell for a specific number of years? And are there any Hadith that determine the weight of obligatory, Sunnah, and supererogatory prayers?

Deliberately abandoning prayer is one of the greatest major sins. Some scholars have even gone so far as to declare someone who deliberately misses a single prayer until its time has passed a disbeliever. There is no Hadith that specifies the duration of punishment in Hell for someone who abandons prayer, but it is agreed upon that they will be subjected to severe torment. No specific person is condemned to Hell for abandoning prayer, because they might repent. As for obligatory prayers, they are superior and more incumbent than supererogatory (Sunnah) prayers, and supererogatory prayers compensate for any deficiencies that may occur in the obligatory ones.
