How sound is the saying: "No one has praised Allah the Almighty with anything better than what He has praised Himself with"?

The hadith with this exact wording was not found, but there are narrations indicating the permissibility of praising Allah, and that the most eloquent praise is that with which Allah has praised Himself. It is authentically reported in the two Sahih collections that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No one is more jealous than Allah... and no one loves praise more than Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. For this reason, He praised Himself." Imam An-Nawawi clarified that the praise of Allah by His servants benefits them by earning reward, for Allah is self-sufficient and has no need of their praise.
