Is one sinful for drawing the attention of others with a heel or a shoulder abaya?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The temptation of women for men is great. Therefore, women are commanded to conceal their adornment and to avoid every action or speech that incites temptation and arouses desire. Allah has forbidden believing women from speaking in a soft manner "lest he in whose heart is disease should covet," and from striking their feet [on the ground] so that what they conceal of their adornment may not be known, because this arouses men's desires. Every action that incites temptation is measured by this. A woman who wears something that attracts men's attention is sinful and shares the guilt with everyone for whom she beautifies herself. So, if she strikes her foot to display herself to men, it is forbidden.
