Is the doubling of the reward for prayer in the Two Holy Mosques (Mecca and Medina) applicable to other acts of worship such as fasting, charity, remembrance (dhikr), reading the Quran, and supplication (dua)?

Scholars have differed regarding the multiplication of all good deeds in Mecca by one hundred thousand. Some affirm this, citing a hadith narrated by Al-Hakim and others, but this hadith has been weakened by others. Another group holds that this specific multiplication applies only to prayer, arguing that the multiplication of deeds by a specific number requires a particular دليل (proof/evidence). Nevertheless, they agree that a virtuous place and time have an effect on the multiplication of reward, and that good deeds are multiplied in Mecca and Medina. However, they have not found firm evidence specifying a particular multiplication for other good deeds besides prayer.
