Scholars have differed regarding the multiplication of all good deeds in Mecca by one hundred thousand. Some affirm this, citing a narrated by Al-Hakim and others, but this hadith has been weakened by others. Another group holds that this specific multiplication applies only to prayer, arguing that the multiplication of deeds by a specific number requires a particular دليل (proof/evidence). Nevertheless, they agree that a virtuous place and time have an effect on the multiplication of reward, and that good deeds are multiplied in Mecca and Medina. However, they have not found firm evidence specifying a particular multiplication for other good deeds besides prayer.
