What is the ruling on naming a newborn "Deen"?

The name "Deen" (religion) might lead to pessimism if its existence is denied. For example, if someone asks: "Is there a (Deen) here?" and the answer is: "No." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade naming a boy Yasar (ease), Rabah (gain), Najiḥ (successful), and Aflaḥ (successful), because denying their existence causes pessimism. The purpose of good names is to bring optimism, but this purpose might be reversed when they are denied, leading to ill-will and despair. The wisdom behind this is to prevent hearing or experiencing something disliked, and to choose other names that achieve the desired purpose without any negative implications, in addition to attributing the opposite of the name to the person, such as calling someone Yasar (ease) who is among the most burdened of people. Therefore, it is preferable not to name a newborn with this name, and it is better to choose names with good meanings that do not carry any forbidden connotations.
