What is the ruling on naming a newborn girl (Toleen)?

Children must be given good names with virtuous meanings, such as the names of the Mothers of the Believers and the female Companions. As for naming with the names of disbelievers, it is disliked due to what it may lead to, such as exalting the disbeliever or imitating him. The mentioned name is not known in its meaning, therefore it is not recommended to name a girl with it; rather, a name that signifies her Islamic identity should be chosen for her.
