The enquirer is afflicted with waswas (obsessive whispering). An oath uttered by someone suffering from waswas under its influence, or breaking such an oath under its influence, is not taken into consideration, and nothing is binding upon him regarding it, because he is in the position of someone under duress. Therefore, if these oaths were uttered by him under the influence of waswas, or if he broke them under the influence of waswas—as appears to be the case—then there is nothing upon him, and no divorce occurs thereby.
