What is the ruling on using the sauna (full steam bath) while fasting?

Maliki jurists prohibited a fasting person from inhaling steam from a pot, and obligated him to make up the fast if it reached his throat, because it is a substance that reaches the brain and strengthens it like food. Al-Dasuqi mentioned that this applies if it reaches the throat by deliberate inhalation. The majority of scholars hold that inhaling steam in a steam bath breaks the fast, because it is water that reaches the throat through the mouth and nose. Therefore, it is more cautious to postpone a steam bath until night.
