"Rinsing the nose with water (istinsḥaq) is specific to water purification, such as Wudu (ablution) and Ghusl (ritual bath). As for Tayammum (dry ablution), it does not include istinsḥaq or rinsing the mouth (maḍmaḍah). Whoever does not find water resorts to Tayammum. It is obligatory for a Muslim to learn individual obligations (furuḍ al-ʿayn) such as purification and prayer."
