ما هي ثلاثة أمثلة على زهد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في الدنيا؟
Many hadiths mention the asceticism of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the simplicity of his life. He would sleep on a mat that left marks on his side, and he owned very little of this world, such as a mule, a weapon, and land which he designated as charity. He and his household never had their fill of barley bread, nor did he ever eat from a dining table. His bed was made of leather stuffed with palm fibers, and he refused to have a cushion or a bed made of wool, saying: "What do I have to do with this world? I am in this world but like a rider who sought shade under a tree, then departed and left it." And, "By Allah, if I wished, Allah would make mountains of gold and silver flow with me." When 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, wept upon seeing the simplicity of his life compared to the kings of the world, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, replied: "Are you not content that we have the Hereafter and they have this world?"
