A girl has the right to refuse a suitor and search for someone better in worldly matters, while maintaining religious devotion and character as a fundamental criterion. She may accept someone who is not perfectly compatible unless he is a transgressor whose transgression is harmful, such as an addict or one who deals in usury. Such a person should not be accepted. The fact that a man is married and has children is not considered a defect for which he should be rejected, nor does it diminish his compatibility.
