What are the parameters for acting upon the principle: "So fear Allah as much as you are able"?

The noble verse: {So fear Allah as much as you are able} and similar to it is the noble Hadith, both emphasize that obligation is conditional upon ability. What a person is unable to do is waived from him, and what he is able to do, he should do. The jurists have mentioned many applications for ability. Legal ability is the basis for commands and prohibitions. So, whoever is able to perform an obligation should do so, and whoever is unable is relieved of it, or performs what he is able of it. Hardship that cannot be borne permits concession, whereas minor hardship does not warrant concession. Not every hardship necessitates facilitation. Among the major jurisprudential maxims is the rule: "Hardship brings ease."
