We ask God to grant you guidance and repentance from this bad habit. You are not obliged to accept this young man because of it. However, if he is a man of religion and good character and a memorizer of the Book of God, then we advise you to accept him as a husband, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If there comes to you one whose character and religion you approve, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." A righteous man honors his wife, and even if he dislikes her, he does not humiliate her. Material or social differences do not legally prevent marriage. We emphasize the importance of seeking guidance from God () in marriage and all matters.
