How can the verses that indicate that we will be returned to and brought forth from the same earth (such as the two verses: "From it We created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will bring you forth once again" and "Indeed, We know what the earth consumes of them") be reconciled with the verse that mentions the changing of the earth ("On the Day the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens")?

There is no contradiction between the noble verses. The first verse indicates that Allah Almighty is the Lord of this universe, its Creator, and its Disposer. It mentions the creation of man from the earth, his return to it, and then his emergence from it. The second verse responds to the disbelievers who deny resurrection and the scattering of body parts in the earth, emphasizing Allah Almighty's knowledge of what the earth diminishes of them and His ability to reassemble them and restore them. As for the third verse, it speaks about the conditions on the Day of Judgment and the changing of the earth and the heavens into another earth where creations will be gathered for accountability, which confirms the absence of contradiction between the verses that address different stages.
