The nursing mother is considered a mother to the child through suckling, and her daughters are his sisters, and her mother is his grandmother, and her sisters are his maternal aunts, and her paternal aunts are his paternal aunts, and her maternal aunts are his maternal aunts. Likewise, the daughters of her husband, who was the cause of the milk, are considered his sisters, based on the Almighty's saying: "And your mothers who suckled you and your sisters through suckling." And according to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Suckling prohibits what birth prohibits." This ruling is specific to those who suckled five known sucklings.
