What is the definition of "disobedience to parents" (قوق العقوق), along with its punishment?

Disrespecting one's parents is the opposite of honoring them. It involves severing ties with them and disobeying their commands. Allah Almighty has forbidden disrespecting parents and has coupled it with His worship in His Holy Book, saying: "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And to parents, show goodness." (17:23) And He says: "Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents, show goodness." (4:36) Disrespecting parents is among the sins for which Allah hastens the punishment of its perpetrator in this world. This punishment might be their own children disrespecting them, for the recompense is of the same kind as the deed.
