It is not permissible for a woman's guardian to prevent her from marrying a suitable man due to differences in tribe or country, unless there is a clear benefit for the woman. Illicit romantic relationships are not permissible outside of what is prescribed by Islamic law. Love via the internet is not safe and may expose a girl to deception and exploitation of her images, so it is not advisable to send pictures. The suitor should approach households through their proper doors and be content with looking only at the fiancée's face and hands.
