Is it permissible to travel a distance that takes three hours for the purpose of holding an exhibition of sisters’ drawings, and is this work considered for the sake of Allah and rewarded, and is the questioner considered a martyr if she is killed, and how can she ensure the sincerity of her intention to Allah, and is she sinful if she travels without the knowledge of her guardian for a three-day stay?

The general rule is that it is impermissible for a woman to travel without a mahram (definition), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to travel a distance of one night unless she is accompanied by a mahram." This ruling applies universally to anything considered travel. If the distance is defined as travel, then it is not permissible to travel without a mahram.

Regarding traveling without the guardian's knowledge: If the guardian is her husband, then it is absolutely impermissible to travel without his knowledge. If the guardian is her father, then it appears that it is impermissible to travel without his knowledge, especially if the journey involves apprehension or fear. If the guardian is neither her husband nor her father, then it appears to be permissible if there is no suspicion or doubt.

It is obligatory to refrain from traveling unless a mahram is present and with the permission of the husband or father. Work that benefits people is good, but its nobility does not justify committing forbidden acts, such as traveling without a mahram or without the guardian's permission.
