Does the husband have the right to reclaim his furniture and possessions from the house of his former wife, whom he claims to have divorced verbally and declared forbidden to him, in exchange for returning her belongings to her, given that he feels deceived and betrayed?

If a husband divorces his first wife with a revocable divorce, he has the right to take her back before her waiting period (iddah) expires. He must also be just between his wives in terms of lodging and financial support.

As for the house furniture, if it is owned by the wife (often part of her dowry), the husband has no right to seize it under the pretext that she is not skilled in household chores or that her family deceived him; this is invalid.

Furthermore, leaving his wife in a state of suspense (like one who is neither married nor divorced) is an injustice not permissible by Islamic law. He must either retain her with kindness or release her with goodness.
