What is the religious ruling regarding a husband who divorced his wife then took her back without informing her guardian, then abandoned her and refused to spend on her and their son, and the wife desires a divorce from him after failed attempts at reconciliation?

Islamic law encourages reconciliation between spouses due to its numerous benefits, including the reunion of the family and its psychological stability, as Allah Almighty says: "And reconciliation is better." One of the reasons for stability is for each party to know and fulfill their rights. If this divorce is not the third, the husband can take his wife back during her iddah (waiting period) without a new contract. The return (rajah) is valid through writing if the husband intends it. The husband should not leave his wife in a state of suspension; rather, he must strive for reconciliation or separation with kindness. The revocably divorced wife is entitled to maintenance and lodging from the husband. If the house is owned by the wife and she does not donate it, the husband must pay her its rent.
