What is the ruling concerning a wife whose husband divorced her in a fit of rage and abandoned her, and then wanted to reconcile with her a year after their separation, but she refused; and what is the nature of their legitimate relationship?

If a man divorces his wife with a revocable divorce, he has the right to take her back as long as she is within her waiting period (iddah), without the need for a new contract or dowry, whether she agrees or not, based on the Almighty's saying: "And their husbands have a greater right to take them back during that period, if they wish reconciliation." If he takes her back during the iddah, she is his wife, and she must obey him in what is good. If she refuses, she is disobedient (nashiz). However, if the iddah ends and he has not taken her back, he cannot take her back except with a new contract. It is advised to refer to the Sharia courts for these matters.
