A revocable divorcee is not permitted to leave the marital home, even if her husband gives permission, because the waiting period () is a right of Allah Almighty. She is also not allowed to take her husband's furniture. A revocable divorcee is considered to be like a wife. Her leaving without her husband's permission makes her disobedient (nashiz) and forfeits her right to maintenance and housing. As for an irrevocable divorcee, she has no right to housing.
