Is it permissible for a traveler to pray Asr after Jumu'ah prayer and its Sunnah, with a short or long interval, for the sake of the excellence of the place?

Scholars have differed regarding the permissibility for a traveler to combine Jumu'ah prayer with 'Asr prayer. The preponderant opinion is that it is permissible, and this is the madhhab of the Shafi'is. It is stipulated that there must be continuity between the two prayers, such that there is no long separation according to custom. If the separation is long, then combining them is not permissible.
