Is it permissible to use the word "yakhluq" (creates) for human beings, such as saying "a creative mind" (ʿaql khallāq) or "so-and-so created this" (fulān khalaqa hādhā), knowing that the sole Creator is Allah?

Allah Almighty is unique in creation, meaning bringing things into existence from non-existence, as He says: (Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth?). As for attributing creation to other than Allah Almighty, such as His saying: (So Blessed is Allah, the best of creators), and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying to the imagemakers: (Give life to what you have created), its meaning is transforming something from one form to another. Therefore, applying the term "creation" to other than Allah in the sense of bringing into existence from non-existence is not permissible, but in the sense of transformation, it is permissible. As for the phrase "creative mind," it refers to good thinking and innovation, and there is no religious impediment in it, although it is better to avoid words that might be misunderstood to imply a false meaning.
