Is it forbidden for a husband to prevent his wife from eating at her mother's house, and what is the punishment for that, and is there a way to convince him?

Marital cohabitation with kindness is obligatory for both spouses, and it includes good treatment and refraining from harm. Allah Almighty says: "And live with them in kindness" and "And due to them is similar to what is due from them, in kindness." Part of good cohabitation is eating with one's wife, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Even the morsel you place in your wife's mouth." The husband should be wise in his dealings between his wife and his mother. He should not permanently stop eating with his wife for the sake of his mother, as this is not part of good cohabitation. It is advisable to address the matter gently and with understanding, and to be patient with the husband. If he does not respond, then the reward is for patience. It is also recommended to supplicate for him and to hold oneself accountable.
