Is it permissible to perform tayammum for reciting the Holy Quran if water is unavailable at school and bringing it is difficult due to the long distance and the short duration of the class?

Reciting the Qur'an does not require ritual purity; therefore, one who is in a state of minor ritual impurity (al-hadath (definition)) may recite the Qur'an without touching the Mus'haf (physical copy of the Qur'an). As for touching the Mus'haf, it requires ritual purity. Some scholars have permitted tayammum (definition) (dry ablution) for recitation or remembrance (dhikr), citing the actions of some Companions and Tabi'in who performed tayammum for remembering Allah or returning greetings. Some Shafi'is hold the view that it is permissible to perform tayammum in one's locale (not traveling) for reciting the Qur'an and remembering Allah. Regarding touching the Mus'haf, tayammum is permissible for it, and some scholars have permitted a teacher or a student to touch the Mus'haf without ablution, to remove hardship.
