Do daughters inherit from their deceased father if he had distributed his property among his male children only while they (the daughters) were still alive?

What the father did by singling out some children for a gift while excluding others, without a legitimate Sharia justification, is blameworthy according to Islamic law and considered forbidden by some scholars. This is based on the noble prophetic tradition that called it "injustice" (jawr) and commanded its revocation.

If the possession of the gift occurred during the father's lifetime and not during a death sickness, then the gift is binding and enters into the ownership of the donee according to the majority of scholars, even though the father and the children incur sin. However, some early Muslims (Salaf) did not consider it ownership.

If, however, possession did not occur during his lifetime, then the remaining heirs have the choice to either uphold it or annul it.

The children should fear Allah and return the division to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, peace be upon him, in order to lift injustice and achieve justice.
