Is it permissible to refrain from financially supporting one's mother if she uses the money to deal with sorcerers and charlatans?
It is not permissible to go to sorcerers and charlatans or to believe them. Whoever does so has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad. Therefore, it is not permissible to send money to the mother if it is known that it will be spent on magic, because that constitutes cooperation in sin and aggression, which is forbidden. This is not considered disobedience to parents, because obedience to parents is conditional on it not contradicting Islamic law. Nevertheless, one must continue to honor and spend on one's parents and maintain ties with them.
