What is the ruling on wearing a "palm leaf ring" on the ring finger, and is that considered imitating Christians?

A ring is worn on the little finger of the left hand, following the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade wearing rings on the middle finger and the index finger. There is no prohibition reported regarding wearing a ring on the ring finger. It is not permissible for men to wear a gold ring, nor to imitate disbelievers by wearing a silver ring or any other.
