What should one do who has accumulated fasting days from previous Ramadans due to pregnancy and breastfeeding, reaching a total of 12 days, and she pays her expiation before every Ramadan?
Whoever delays making up for missed days of without a valid excuse until the next Ramadan begins has committed a sin and must make up for those days along with paying expiation by feeding one poor person for each day. As for whoever delays making up for the days due to a valid excuse, there is nothing upon them except to make up for those days.
Therefore, you must hasten to make up for the missed days before the next Ramadan begins, as long as you are able. If you are unable to make up for them before Ramadan due to illness or a similar reason, there is no sin upon you. When your excuse is removed after Ramadan, then make them up without expiation. The same ruling applies to previous Ramadans.
