Masturbation is the deliberate expulsion of semen by hand or other movements for unlawful pleasure, and it is forbidden. As for the expulsion of semen through a wet dream, it is not considered masturbation and there is no sin in it, because it is beyond a person's control, even if it is accompanied by an unintentional movement.
