The answer

If the questioner is female, then Friday prayer is not obligatory for her at the mosque, and her prayer at home is better.

However, if the questioner is male, then the time for Friday prayer begins at Zawwal (zenith) according to the majority of scholars. If the Imam prays before Zawwal, then do not pray with him, but pray with someone who prays after Zawwal.

Regarding the omission of the definite article "al-" from the : If the Imam says "salamun 'alaykum" without the alif and lam, then pray behind him if you find no one else, and it is hoped that you will find leeway in the opinion of those who consider that sufficient, because the tanwin (nunation) can substitute for the alif and lam, and because this occurs in the Quran and in some (testification) formulations.
