Is it permissible to feed the needy as expiation for an oath, if the one who swore said: "By Allah, I will not return to masturbation, and if I masturbated, I will fast three days as expiation"?

A man is not permitted to break his oath by abandoning masturbation. If he returns to it, an expiation for breaking an oath becomes obligatory upon him. This expiation involves feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If he is unable to do these three, then he must fast for three days.
